A simple boy falls in love with a beautiful woman in his town. She's also being wooed by a military leader. Desperate, he turns to a visiting salesman who sells him a bottle of a magic love elixir. However, it's only a bottle of wine. Misunderstanding and misfortune ensue until she realizes she loves him as well.
